Another Landmark Victory For Sanderson

Landmark Victory

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK supplier of software and IT services, has won a contract to supply its Wholesale Distribution solution, Swords, to Landmark member, Peter Lowrie & Co Ltd.

Lowries operate three depots in the north of England and run both a Delivered Wholesale and Cash & Carry business. The recent acquisition of the Penrith depot sparked a review of business processes and the Sanderson solution was selected to replace previous systems provided by Anker, BCP & Sage.

Lowries has purchased the complete Swords solution to integrate company wide operations which were previously fragmented. The system, which includes a comprehensive accounts package, will be implemented across all three depots to streamline business activity. A Radio Frequency (RF) system will be employed in the warehouse to assist in order picking and stock control. RF technology will also streamline goods inwards by capturing bar codes as soon stock arrives on the premises. This will eliminate the problem of unregistered bar codes and miss-scans at the tills, as well as providing real-time analysis of stock levels.

The Sanderson solution will additionally allow Lowries to track customer purchases, and will facilitate analysis of profitability of products, customers and suppliers, providing valuable information to assist in business decision making.
