Sanderson support growth of Young Plants

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of IT software and services has won a contract to supply its Mail Order solution to horticulturalist Thompson & Morgan (Young Plants) Limited “TMYP”.
Based in Guernsey,TMYP sell a variety of species via mail order, off the page advertising and online. With an annual turnover of £28 million and a large customer base Young Plants needed one central solution to replace their existing disparate systems.
After evaluating their business needs, TMYP’s decision to invest in Sanderson was based on the success of the solution used at sister company Thompson & Morgan (UK) Limited “TMUK”, who have been supplying seeds to consumers and professional growers for over 150 years. For over 10 years TMUK have been using a Sanderson system for batch traceability, order processing and to facilitate stock management.
Young Plants work in a fast moving environment, dealing with high volume products, live stock and seasonally pressured timeframes. The Sanderson Mail Order solution will enable them to take control of stock management ensuring that they can respond to customer orders quickly and efficiently. The information stored will allow them to analyse product demand, stock levels and product profitability ensuring that they are targeting their customers’ needs effectively.
