The implementation was really very painless and easy. Very little work was needed prior to implementation and use of the system was quickly adopted. After a few weeks we completely stopped the printing of any Purchase Orders promoting savings in both time and paper. It has been a real success.

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of software solutions to the catering industry, has won a contract to supply its Manna catering management solution to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages all adult acute and general medical hospital services in Sheffield and caters for over 2,500 patients and 12,000 staff daily. The integrated solution will replace existing systems, streamline internal processes and manage the entire catering operation.
The Sanderson system will provide the Trust with functionality to automate manual activities, reduce overhead costs and improve efficiencies across the Catering Department. The software integrates directly with the existing finance system, hand held terminals and optical mark readers to help provide a high quality service to patients and staff. Touchscreen EPoS units and hospitality management will also assist the catering team with their daily activities.
The Trust will benefit from valuable management information held in the Manna system, allowing them to monitor catering performance in real time and identify areas for business improvement initiatives. The solution will also provide detailed nutritional analysis of ingredients and foods, enabling patient meals to be measured against Daily Recommended Values and specific dietary requirements.
